For the Minor Experience Design at HKU, I explored how to craft immersive experiences that leave a lasting impact on visitors.
My project centered on the fascinating concept of lucid dreaming: a state in which the dreamer becomes aware they are dreaming and can actively influence the dream.
Through research into the psychology and sensory qualities of lucid dreams, I designed an experience that simulates this surreal state of consciousness. By combining visual distortion, layered soundscapes and interactive elements, visitors were invited to step into a reality that felt both familiar and otherworldly. The result was a space where perception could shift, control could be questioned and imagination could take the lead.
