I visited Aarhus with 4 other CMD students to work with students of VIA University Denmark and Howest University Brugge about Sustainable Social housing. We had to come up with a plan for Aarhus Pier 3.
The week started with an excursion to the Aarhus harbour district and an experimental city. We had a very intense and interesting week. Five groups came up with interesting concepts for redesigning this area. Common goals in all projects were greener environments and think about privacy versus community, but all groups came up with a different take on those goals.
The assignment: Research / design the future of sustainable social housing – in the context of Pier 3.
